With Peoples e-Account, starting or stopping gas service in your home has never been easier.

Click here to get started on our Peoples e-Account website, and look for the "Start / Stop Service?" section on the front page.

You'll need the following info to start or stop service using e-Account:

  • Preferred service start or date.
  • Service address, including zip code.
  • Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Income and occupancy details for residential start service requests.
  • Credit card or bank account information for security deposit payment (when starting service), if applicable.

If you're not ready to jump in online and complete this process using Peoples e-Account, then please give our Customer Service Center a call at 1-800-764-0111 Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 5:00pm and one of our friendly and knowledgeable agents will guide you through the process.

You will need the following information in order to request service:

  • Preferred service start or stop date.
  • Service address, including zip code or meter number.
  • Social Security Number (SSN) or Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN).
  • Credit card or bank account information for security deposit payment, if applicable.
