Emergency Hotline: 1.800.400.4271

24 hours a day / 7 days a week

What is an Emergency?

Gas leaks, an odor of gas, damaged lines, and carbon monoxide symptoms are all considered emergencies. If you have an emergency, call our emergency hotline at 1-800-400-4271 . Our personnel are ready to assist you 24/7. When in doubt, call us immediately.

If you smell gas, do not attempt to locate the leak. Instead, leave the house or building right away. Do not turn on or off any electrical switches, appliances, or lights, as an electrical charge could create a spark. When you are in a safe place, call the Peoples emergency hotline.

Learning about ANG Vehicles with Ingevity

One of the primary goals at Pittsburgh Region Clean Cities (PRCC) is the promotion of alternative vehicle fuels that help displace and reduce our dependence on petroleum-based fuels and associated greenhouse gas emissions.

On Thursday, June 4th, in coordination with PRCC, Peoples and our partners kicked-off a new webinar series. The webinar focused on low-pressure, adsorbed natural gas technology that enhances the use of natural gas and its renewable counterpart, renewable natural gas (RNG), as alternative vehicle fuels. This aligns with PRCC’s primary goal of promoting alternative vehicle fuels that displace and reduce our nation’s dependence on petroleum-based fuels and associate greenhouse gas emissions.

Fleet owners looking to diversify their fuel supply chains and meet their corporate sustainability and GHGe reduction goals should strongly consider adopting alternative fuels.

Our team at Peoples plans on submitting an AFIG application on-behalf of participating fleet owners in our region. The plan is to use grant funds to offset 50% of the ANG up-fit cost for a Ford F-150, gaseous fuel prepped, light-duty truck and the cost to purchase and install a refueling appliance.

With every investment, partnership and collaboration, we are one step closer to having clean, inexpensive and reliable alternative sources of energy available to every family and business here in our region.
