  • In 2024, Peoples celebrated $200,000 donated through EDH with Pennie’s Bake Shop in Butler, the program’s first partnering business.

  • Pizza has been a popular choice for our Eat, Drink, Help program...everyone is happy to buy a pizza to support a local charity! Leechburg Pizza participated and selected the Orphans of the Storm for their charity.
  • The Eat, Drink, Help program has connected with several local businesses and charities within the Peoples service territory.
  • When you buy a qualifying purchase, you'll see an Eat, Drink, Help label like this.
  • We've worked with businesses and charities across our service territory, from Pennsylvania to Kentucky.
  • From pastries to potted plants, local businesses have chosen many different types of goods for the Eat, Drink, Help program.

Eat, Drink, Help is Peoples’ unique program to elevate both small businesses and community nonprofit organizations. These local outfits are essential to the villages, cities, and towns throughout our service area. Peoples helps power them forward with grants awarded through Eat, Drink, Help. Since the first Eat, Drink, Help program launched in 2016, we’ve contributed more than $234,000 to charitable causes throughout Western Pennsylvania and Kentucky.   

To celebrate ten years of Supporting Local, we’re doubling the dollar amount of the Eat, Drink, Help grant for 2026 participants!

How does Eat, Drink, Help (EDH) work? First, a locally owned business applies and nominates a 501c3 non-profit  organization of their choice. Peoples creates custom labels featuring the logos of the participating business and charity. The labels are placed on the business’ offerings ranging from pizza to pastries to retail products for one month, or until all labels are distributed. At that point, Peoples provides a donation to support the charity’s work! 

Eat, Drink, Help’s local to local approach allows Peoples to channel support directly to causes that mean the most to each individual community we serve. We’re excited for EDH to enter its second decade of making life better – apply to be a 2026 partner today!
