Peoples and EIC Announce Innovation Hall Partnership
Information Release October 21st, 2019 - Energy Innovation Center’s Innovation Hall Announces First Corporate Membership
Pittsburgh Gateways Corporation is proud to announce that Peoples, an energy company headquartered in Pittsburgh and providing natural gas service to approximately 740,000 customers in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Kentucky, has become a Member of the Energy Innovation Center, LP Innovation Hall.
Innovation Hall is being constructed to serve as a media outlet, an exhibit area and a meeting place for Corporate and Institutional Members to display innovations and the process of advancing innovations into the marketplace.
Each of the first four Founding Members will participate in the final design and equipping of Innovation Hall. Every element of the operation of the Hall, the function of the two-level space and display of content will represent Member innovation.

We look forward to creating an immersive exhibit that will feature efficient, low emission technology, such as fuel cells, that could be playing a major role in meeting both residential and commercial energy needs in the near future.”
Bill Miller COO and Vice President of Pittsburgh Gateways Corporation (owners of the Energy Innovation Center, LP) projects that there will be at least three additional Founding Members joining with Peoples next month and that, then, a series of designing sessions will be organized to infuse Member designs, content and equipment into the first phase of Hall development so that Construction can advance this Fall. To date, seven corporations/institutions are expressing interest to become one of the founding Members.
The initial concept drawings were prepared by LumaNEXT. Andy Peck, President of LumaNEXT, sought to design a Center that gives the space an environment for creative thinking, gathering of cross disciplined talent necessary for collaboration in the innovation process and a media link to the global innovation arena.
