Emergency Hotline: 1.800.400.4271

24 hours a day / 7 days a week

What is an Emergency?

Gas leaks, an odor of gas, damaged lines, and carbon monoxide symptoms are all considered emergencies. If you have an emergency, call our emergency hotline at 1-800-400-4271 . Our personnel are ready to assist you 24/7. When in doubt, call us immediately.

If you smell gas, do not attempt to locate the leak. Instead, leave the house or building right away. Do not turn on or off any electrical switches, appliances, or lights, as an electrical charge could create a spark. When you are in a safe place, call the Peoples emergency hotline.

Peoples Employees "Light the Night" for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

  • Our Peoples Team at Light the Night 2015

On Wednesday evening, October 5th, Peoples will take part in the Light the Night Walk, benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Western Pennsylvania / West Virginia. It's a moving, memorable evening, that brings friends, families, and co-workers together to support a common goal—to end cancer. This year, over 100 of our employees and family members, along with the Peoples’ mascot Freddy the Flame, will walk from Heinz Field along the Allegheny River, holding illuminated lanterns. In 2015, our team raised over $50,000 for LLS, and the group hopes to surpass that total this year.

Peoples President and CEO Morgan O’Brien has chaired the local effort for over 10 years. Under his leadership, communities in Pennsylvania and West Virginia have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through Light the Night in order to fund blood cancer research. “These diseases strike the young and old alike,” said O’Brien. “Thanks to the efforts of the Peoples team and thousands of volunteers like them across America, there are more and more survivors every year.”

We hope that by spreading the word, this event will continue to grow. For the walk on October 5th, Peoples welcomes additional walkers or pledges of support! Click here for additional details, and learn more about how you can take steps to end cancer.
