5 Grilling Tips
As summer draws to a close, now is the perfect time to use the grill! Our friends at Coyote Outdoor Living want to share five important tips to keep in mind when you're grilling.
1. Clean your grill before cooking – Smoke is great when cooking over wood chips, but burning off remnants of the last meal isn’t an ideal method for infusing flavor. Make sure to start with a clean surface every time!
2. Utilize your sear station – Giving a piece of meat a good sear before cooking it over a lower temperature creates the beautiful color every grill master pursues. Transferring the meat over to a lower heat post-sear maintains a perfectly juicy interior.
3. Vary your recipes – Gas grills offer precise temperature control, opening up opportunities for experimentation! Don’t be shy. Try out fish, veggies, and even dessert recipes on the grill.
4. Maintain your investment – Unfortunately, grilling might not be possible 365 days a year, so make sure to invest in protecting the grill from the elements with appropriate accessories like a great grill cover in the off-season.
5. Have a backup option – Better safe than hungry! One huge benefit to a natural gas grill is that it's connected to a direct gas line, which means you'll never run out of fuel! But if you're working on a stand-alone grill, it’s a great idea to have a second tank of propane on hand, just in case.
If you don't have a natural gas grill, now is the perfect time to switch! Natural gas grills make outdoor cooking easy and affordable. They’re always ready to go, even during a power outage. And you never worry about running out of propane or charcoal again. Natural gas grills are also environmentally friendly, too, with reduced emissions and fuel odors compared to charcoal grills. At about half the cost of propane, natural gas is the smart choice for affordable and convenient backyard cooking.
