One-Time Payments

If you need to make a quick, one-time payment, you can use Peoples e-Account or ACI Speedpay. All you need is your account number to get started. You don't need to create a Peoples e-Account to use either option.

Pay My Bill

Peoples provides you with multiple, convenient ways to pay your bill. 

To make a payment, choose the option that works best for you—whether it's online, direct debit, over the phone, in person, or mailing in your bill. If you're making an online payment, please have your Peoples account number (located on your remittance coupon or top left of your bill) and your credit card or checking/savings account information available.

If you have received a termination notice and made a payment, please contact Peoples at 1-800-764-0111 as soon as possible. Have your unique receipt number ready to give to the Customer Service Representative.

You can use Peoples e-Account to:

  • Monitor your gas usage

Scheduling Future ACH Payments Available

Customers are able to schedule future-dated ACH payments up to 30 days in the future. This is option is currently only available for customers using ACH payments — that is, payments directly from a customer's checking or savings account. To schedule a future-dated ACH payment in e-Account, customers should click "Pay Bill," then "Pay Now." Enter the payment amount, select payment method, and click "Next." Customers will then be able to click the Calendar in the Payment Schedule section to choose a date. Click submit to schedule your payment. To view pending payments, choose "Billing" and then click "History." Customers enrolled in email / text notifications will receive a confirmation message.

Peoples e-Account Mobile App

To use the Peoples e-Account app, you must download in Google Play or the App Store. 

Pay By Phone

Phone payments to your Peoples account are processed by ACI Speedpay. If you would like to pay your Peoples bill over the phone, please call Speedpay at 1-866-338-5491

  • Available 24 hours/day (Please allow 24 hours for your payment to be processed and posted to your Peoples account.)
  • No enrollment required
  • American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa cards are accepted. Debit/ATM cards with the STAR, PULSE, ACCEL or NYCE logos are also accepted.

Please have your Peoples account number (located on your bill), the zip code of your service address and your payment method information available when making a payment by phone.

Payments made before 4:00pm EST Monday - Friday (except holidays) will be posted to your account that same day. Payments made after that time will be posted on the next business day.

Direct Debit

Our Direct Debit program deducts the amount of your monthly gas bill directly from your checking or savings account. No writing checks, buying stamps, or mailing a payment.

To enroll in Direct Debit, all you need to do is register or login to our Peoples e-Account customer portal site. Have your bank information (routing and account number) and proceed to the Payment Method screen located in the Payment section on the left side. Click on the Bank Accounts tab and then the Add Bank Account button to add your account information. Then choose the Direct Debit option. You can access Peoples e-Account here.

When does Peoples process my payment?

Anywhere from 11 to 21 days after billing. You tell us the number of days after billing you’d like us to process your payment. For example, if you choose 12 days, we will draft your payment on or after the 12th calendar day following each bill date.

After enrolling, when can I stop writing checks?

We will print a special message on your bill indicating the date we will draft your bank account. Your monthly bank statement will show your account number and the amount and date of the bill payment.

What if I change banks?

We need to know! If you change banks, you must login to the Peoples e-Account portal site and update your stored Bank Account information.

Payments can be made by personal check, cashier check, or money order (no cash, please) to the addresses below. Please note that Peoples TWP customers must mail their payment to a separate PO Box.

Pay in Person

You can pay in-person at a number of locations. Follow the instructions below to find a location near you.

Paying in person is a fast way to make a payment when it's close to the bill's due date. If you're looking to pay your bill quickly, find a payment drop off location near you by selecting from the options below.

Pennsylvania
  1. Go to the Check Free website by clicking here. Once you go to the website, follow the steps below to receive a list of locations where you can pay your bill in person.
  2. Select “Peoples Natural Gas” from the "Please Select Biller" drop down menu.
  3. Enter your Zip Code in the box.
  4. Enter the code shown.
  5. Click on the Submit button.
Kentucky
  1. Go to the Western Union website by clicking here. Once you go to the website, follow the steps below to receive a list of locations where you can pay your bill in person.
  2. Check the box marked "Payments."
  3. Enter your Zip Code in the box.
  4. Click "GO."

Pay Online with ACI Speedpay

Peoples also uses the ACI Speedpay bill payment system to process phone and online payments.

Make a one-time payment with a credit card, debit card, or electronic check. Please have your Peoples account number (located on your bill), the zip code of your service address and your payment method information available when making an online payment.

Gift of Warmth

The Gift of Warmth is a digital gift card that is applied directly to a Peoples customer's account.

Through our partnership with ACI Speedpay, you can now purchase a Gift of Warmth digital gift card for any current Peoples customer in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, or Kentucky. Whether you're hoping to help an elderly parent by taking care of their gas bill this month, or give your college student a bit of breathing room, or just surprise a friend or family member, the Gift of Warmth is a personal, practical gift that shows you care!

Purchase a Gift of Warmth
  • Visit our Gift of Warmth site through ACI Speedpay. Click "Login" to get started.
  • Input your information under "Gifter" information.
  • Click the option to "Show Receiver's Address" and type in the information of the person receiving the Gift of Warmth. The only information required is the customer's name and full address. The customer's account number and email address are optional.
  • Input your Payment Method.
  • Choose your dollar amount under Payment Information.

How It Works
  • The Gift of Warmth gift cards are purchased through our trusted partner, ACI Speedpay.
  • The gifted amount will be posted directly to the customer's account within a couple of business days.
  • Once you purchase a Gift of Warmth, you will receive an email receipt. If you also provide the recipient's email address, the recipient will receive an email confirmation, too. If you do not provide the recipient's email address, it is your responsibility to notify the recipient about the Gift of Warmth payment to their account.
  • If the Gift of Warmth dollar amount is greater than the customer's current balance, the remainder of the Gift of Warmth will stay in the customer's account as a credit, and will be used towards the customer's next bill. 

Self-Serve Text

Customers now have the option to text Peoples to make a payment, check your account balance, sign up for Budget Billing, request a statement, and submit a meter reading—right from your phone. Simply text "Hello" to 1-800-764-0111 to get started!

Billing Options

For your convenience, Peoples offers a Budget Billing Plan and a Third Party Notice billing option. If you have a visual impairment, Peoples is happy to provide a large print bill or braille bill.
