Peoples Natural Gas ("Peoples") operates more than 780 miles of gathering pipeline, 16 compressor stations and 22 compressor units with 13,575 horsepower. We serve as Peoples' primary point of contact for Pennsylvania producers and oversee more than 4000 production gas delivery points into Peoples pipeline system delivering over 50 BCF of gas annually.
Peoples' system has access to numerous interstate natural gas pipelines including Dominion Transmission, Texas Eastern, Tennessee Gas, and National Fuel. The Peoples' system consists of distribution, transmission, storage and gathering pipelines and related facilities. Peoples owns and operates five storage facilities within its service territory that have a combined storage capacity of 33 BCF and provide a working gas capacity of 10.5 BCF.
We work closely with producers by expanding and upgrading our existing facilities, both pipelines and compression, to move more locally produced gas into our system and to align our mutual objective of maximum production throughput, while meeting all safety and compliance requirements.
